Search for Books

Locate books on your topic by searching the APU library catalog:

You can also check your library account and renew your library books online through the APU library catalog.

Another Option: Ebooks

The APU Libraries own a number of Ebooks, which are books that you can read online. Ebooks are available any time, and can save you time and money since you don't have to drive to the library to check out books. You can access Ebooks through two APU library databases, Ebrary and EBSCO eBook Collection.

  • Ebrary
Collection of full-text Ebooks and sheet music. Note: best viewed with Internet Explorer.
  • EBSCO eBook Collection
Searchable collection of ebooks on a variety of subjects.

Requesting Books From the Azusa Campus

The APU Libraries will mail books and media items to Regional Center and online students free of charge. A pre-paid return mailing envelope is included.

To request books and media, locate the items you want in the APU library catalog and click "Request." Choose "By mail" as the pickup location. Items will be mailed within 48 hours of your request.

Undergrad and graduate students can borrow up to 100 books at a time, with an initial check-out period of 28 days and 4 renewals. Doctoral students, staff, and faculty members can borrow up to 500 books at a time, with an initial check-out period of 90 days and 2 renewals.

To renew items, log in to your library account and use the "renew" button.

Requesting Books Not Owned by APU: LINK+

If you can't find books on your topic in the APU Library Catalog, or if you need a book that is checked out, try searching LINK+. The LINK+ catalog allows you to locate and request books (free of charge!) from any of the 52 LINK+ Libraries:

Just click the "Request This Item" link whenever you find a book you want to borrow. The APU Libraries will automatically mail LINK+ books to your home address within 48 hours of their arrival at the Azusa campus.

APU students, faculty, and staff can borrow up to 15 LINK+ books at a time, with an initial check-out period of 3 weeks and one 2-week renewal. You can renew LINK+ books through your library account.

Requesting Hard-to-Find Books: Interlibrary Loan

If you need a book that isn't available in the APU Library Catalog or LINK+, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. With Interlibrary Loan, the APU Libraries will contact other libraries and borrow a copy of the book you need.

This service costs $2.00 per item requested. The library will send a statement to your APU email address. You must mail or ship the book back to the Azusa campus. A prepaid mailing envelope will be provided for this purpose. This service may take a minimum of 7-10 working days.
