How To Export Records Into EndNote: ProQuest

This guide includes instructions for exporting records into EndNote from the APU library catalog, several APU databases, and Google Scholar. This guide was originally created by Michelle Spomer.

Follow These Instructions:

APU subscribes to several databases through the ProQuest provider. All ProQuest databases will have the same look and feel, and will use the same procedures for exporting records. For a list of all ProQuest databases at APU, click here (and then click on the '7 databases' link at the top).

  • Perform a search in a ProQuest database.
  • Mark the items you'd like to export by putting checks in the boxes to the left (see graphic below).

  • After you've finished marking, click on the Export/Save link to the right above the results list. Click on the EndNote, Citavi, or Reference Manager link (see graphic below).

  • Click on the Continue button in the Export/Save dialogue box (you may have to scroll down to see it).
  • Fin the .ris file on your computer and click on it to open. The item should appear in your EndNote library.
