Remember you can use studylight.org to look up your passage and find a Strong's number for your word. This online resource can be used as a tool instead of a concordance in doing your word study. Click on the Interlinear tab. Type in your Bible reference (a specific verse, a passage, a chapter) in the General Search box there. From there you can click on your word in the English translation to find what the Strong's number is for the Hebrew word behind the English translation. The Strong's number can be converted to the G/K numbers using the Index (Vol. 5) of the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology & Exegesis and also to convert to the TWOT numbering system in the back index for the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament (TWOT) to then find the entry for your word in those dictionaries.
For the traditional use of a Bible concordance rather that using StudyLight.com and for more detailed instructions, see How to do a Word Study without Knowing Hebrew or Greek.
The librarians at the Stamps Theological Library aim to monitor this Stamps chat service a minimum of 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday; see our research help hours for details). If we are not available via chat, you will see a link to submit your question to us so that we can follow up with you via email.
