If you're looking for web-based alternatives to PowerPoint or Keynote, the following list will provide several options. Prezi could also be used for collaboration and mapping.

  • Brainshark
    Brainshark "provides the leading cloud-based software for creating, sharing and tracking online and mobile video presentations. With Brainshark, you can easily transform static content, such as PowerPoint documents, into voice-enriched video presentations that can be accessed anytime, on-demand." Users can also upload documents, videos, and photo albums.

    For individuals, there are three levels with increasing numbers of features - free, $9.99/month, and $19.99/month. There is also customized pricing information for "enterprises."

  • Google Docs: Presentations

  • Prezi
    Prezi is a "cloud-based presentation software that opens up a new world between whiteboards and slides. The zoomable canvas makes it fun to explore ideas and the connections between them."

    For individuals, there are three levels with increasing numbers of features - free, $59/year, and $159/year. Educators can get the second level for free and the third level for $59/year. Group licensing is also available.

    For individuals, there are two levels - free and $24/month (with more features). There is a third "enterprise" level that is $360/user/year (for a minimum of 100 users).

    SlideShare is "the world's largest community for sharing presentations. With 60 million monthly visitors and 130 million pageviews, it is amongst the most visited 200 websites in the world. Besides presentations, SlideShare also supports documents, PDFs, videos and webinars."

    For individuals, there are four levels with increasing numbers of features - free, $19/month, $49/month, and $249/month. Group licensing is also available, and non-profit/educational institutions receive a %50 discount.
